The 13th Candle
SOLD
The 13th candle is the most important candle of all.
On Friday October 13, 1307, King Phillip the IV at the
urging of Pope Clement the V, tried to have all the
Knights of the Temple of Solomon Rounded up and
killed. Most escaped and the enormous treasure they
were said to posses disappeared forever. For the way
they were betrayed by the Church they protected for
so long, I dedicate all my work to their legacy by
signing all my works of art with the date of the 13th
day. The number 13 is a sacred number occurring
everywhere in nature. It is found in the Golden Ratio
and it is the 7th number in the Fibonacci sequence.
This Candle holder named The 13th Candle is made
with the number 13 throughout the entire piece. The
three legs are exactly 13 inches long. The stem is also
13 inches long. If you put the one stem with the three
legs you have the number 13. The spires coming up
from the base are exactly 26 inches long (2 times 13).
If you multiply the three spires by 26 you have a total
of 78. If you divide 78 by the number 6 (which is the
3 legs plus the 3 spires) you get the number 13.
