Gates and Railings
This house was a complete historic renovation that was done by
Nathan Cuttle.  They redesigned the entire house but were able to
I built the railing and gave them a specific finish which looks as
though it is 100 years old to match the essence of the neighborhood.
The pictures shown below are before and after shots of the railing
installation.
The process of creating a one of a kind gate or rail begins with an idea of what the customer is looking for in style, design, texture
and finish.  All elements are matched in order not to be out of place or stick out like a sore thumb.  We take gates and railings very
seriously as it is an element of your home that should blend with your decor and add to the grandeur of what your vision is for both
comfort and style.  The process begins with either a trip to your home or pictures you send us.  After we discuss what basic design
you are looking for, we begin the design drawings.

We charge a modest up front design fee of $300.00 which will be deducted from the total price when the job is completed.  Once the
design is created and agreed upon, we will create a sample piece to show you what the work will look like in its completed stage.
This is the time where slight adjustments can be made.  It is at this time the work begins.

All of our works are FORGED BY HAND, the old fashioned way, using a hammer and anvil and tools we make ourselves.  When
we are finished, you will have a one of a kind piece of art that will continue to grow in value.

Every gate and rail is priced individually according to complexity of design and finishing process needed to achieve the perfect
compliment to your home.  Depending on complexity of design, most orders will take between 6 and 12 weeks to complete, some
may take more time.   We can also incorporate many different elements to the project such as stainless steel, wood, brass, copper,
glass, etc..

Half pin barrel hinges  and plates shown
below were hand forged for a perfect fit.
This wrought iron gate was created for a customer who just got a puppy that was tearing up every
other gate she put up.  She finally decided to go with one that I guaranteed for life.  This gate
features custom hand forged scrolls as well as hand forged half pin barrel hinges and mounting
plates.  The pickets do not show any welds from any angle.
